7920 Roam's at bad time

7920's tel sets seem to be roaming at bad times, user is standing right beside an AP, survey screen shows

1(C),voice,56,1

6(A),voice,27,0

11(A),voice,6,0

And it up and roms to the AP on chan 6 -- at which point the call quality degrads. Why would it roam in this situation.

7920 can roam based on rssi, channel utilization or packet loss.

RSSI is out of the picture here as RSSI is > 50 and we don't roam basefd on RSSI here.

QBSS is out of the picture as AP would have to get at least 30% busy.

So that leaves packet loss. If the AP doesn't ack the 7920s packets or misses beacons, then will try to roam to a "better ap". Would suggest taking a look at the noise levels in this area and possibly any equipment running in the lower end of the spectrum. Could also swap the channels and see if it helps.

Other than that open a TAC case to troubleshoot further.
