7921G with 802.11A on madwifi Linux AP

Hi,

I know this is unsupported but I would like to use the 7921G with Asterisk connected through an atheros linux minipci card on 802.11a, it appears world mode is not a problem for 11a, my phone is a W, I am based in Australia.

Any gotchas, I should look out for?

Thanks for your time.

Kind Regards

Richard

The 7921 doesn't support Ad-hoc mode.

Yes, -W model is the version for Australia/New Zealand and does require that the AP support 802.11d (world mode).

And yes only Cisco APs are supported platforms as stated in the 7921G Deployment Guide.
