Anyone use Aironet with a networked HP printer

One customer want to use there HP printer in a wireless enviorment......I thought the ports were different....any one did this?

Yes, we used Wireless LAN Client Bridge (it´s a Symbol products). With this products is possible to use via RS232 or LAN port.

Hi Eddie!

I am also working with AP350 and Client Bridge Symbol for HP JetDirect,

but we have cuts on the printers, any idea about wy do we have this problem

or any clue about how to config this client to make this work properly?

Hi Eddie!

I have a customer that is using 37 of the WGB-341C units and they work like a champ! They use it to connect to the Jet Direct port.

you can also use a work group bridge and plug the printer into that...I have a customer doing that and it works great...the only problem is the inability to use the new security features of the 11.10 access point image with the work group bridge. Hopefully Cisco will release a new firmware upgrade for the WGB that will allow this...

WGB is an expensive solution for a printer port!

Several manufacturers have Wireless Print Servers. Many are consumer-grade, but there are a few Enterprise-calss devices available.
