Experts,
Happy New year! I am having problems accessing my Cisco Wireless controller in order to administer it.
I have tried to access via web using Internet Explorer,Chrome and Mozilla:
All the wireless devices connecting to the console are working fine but I want to change the wireless password.
I can only get access with the console cable. How can I manage this device via web? I remember that it was handled via
web on the original configuration.

Hi,
Please issue the command
Show network summary
Check if http or https is enabled.. Another thing to check is, are we able ping the default gateway from the wlc?? If not then please untag the managent interface n use Native vlan under swtchport on the swith n then try accessing the gui of the WLC

Hi ,
Note the config you posted ..
Mgmt Via Wireless Interface................. Disable
If you are trying to access the WLC over the wireless you need to enable management via wireless.

Hi George,
Forgive my lack of knowledge as I have never used this device. How do I enable the Mgmt Interface or the web http/https access? What are the commands to enable it.
I have the console plugged in to a switch, which I can ping from the local lan.
Best regards,
Randall

Here is a link to George's blog that explains how to enable or disable that feature.

Scott Fella,
Thanks for the link! The only problem that I have is that I only have console access, I don't have access to the GUI. I am trying to get access to the GUI in order to be able to administer the AP's that are connected to it.
From the link you posted:
In the GUI GO ->MANAGEMENT-> MGT Via WIRLESS -> (CHECK BOX)
---> I can't access the GUI, I am connected to the Wired switch, not via wireless. The only option that I have to access the controller is via the console.
I am wondering if there is a command to enable http https access via the console?
I try this and it does not work:
Thanks for all the help and tips!

Hi Randall,
To answer your question "I am wondering if there is a command to enable http https access via the console?" You could try
Enable HTTP
(WLC) >config network webmode enable
ENABLE HTTPS
(WLC) >config network secureweb enable
You must reboot for the change to take effect.
SHOW WEB MODE STATUS
(WLC) >show network summary
Hope that helps.

You have console access??? So you can't ssh either correct? If you have console access is you wlc up and functional with APs joined? From the console can you ping the gateway?
Post your switch port configuration and a show run-config from the wlc console.

Randall,
If you are still having issues try these 2 commands at the console and see if it resolves your issue
config network mgmt-via-wireless enable
config network mgmt-via-dynamic-interface enable
Hope this helps.
