Cisco 7920 on AP 541N - Network Busy

Hi guys,

I have run into a strange issue on 2 7920 phones.

when I try to call any outside destinations from the 7920 I get on the phone the "Network Busy" message. I read the posts regarding the channel utilization but I couldn't find any workarounds. There is no significant load in the network.

Inside to/from 7920s and outside to 7920s calls work without problems. (IN <--> 7920, OUT -> 7920)

The topology is the following: APs (2 clustered - 541N-E-K9) - Sw - VoiceGw. (same vlan for voice and data)

On the APs the QoS is at factory defaults and WMM is disabled.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks.

Regards

Re: Cisco 7920 on AP 541N - Network Busy

Hi Cristian,

you may post your question in the Voice section (not wireless I mean).

If the call to an internal number works, it means that the Wireless call admission is admitting calls, i.e. the wireless bandwtidh is available.

The network busy comes then from the call manager. It should mean "not enough external lines to place the call".

However, Call manager guys might know more about this.

Hope this helps a bit

Re: Cisco 7920 on AP 541N - Network Busy

Hi Nicolas,

we isolated the problem to a local small net (1xAP, 2x7920s, 1x7912 and cme).

the phones can't make any calls instead they can receive calls (from the 7912).

the call manager config looks alright.

we tried to modify the phone settings (qbss, rssi) and the AP configuration but still the problem persists.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks
