New to networking

I am looking for some info on which way to go in the job arena. I have several 2-year degrees in electronics and 20 years of work experience. Eight years with a local cable company as an installer/ service tech, six years with Sabreliner co. as an avionics bench tech, eight years with Il State Police as a mobile communications tech. I have an associates degree in micro-computer repair, Avionics Electonics & Communications Electronics. I have an FCC General Radio Operators License with Radar Endorsement along with a no-code tech license. I have enrolled in networking class and Win2000 at my local community college. I plan to sign up for the the ccna classes next semmester. My question is ? Is there a job market for sommone with my back ground and is it worth the time and effort to go through the ccna training.

Thanks, Dan
