Problems with multiple SIP Devices on one Access Point

Marc Aemmer

Hey everybody,

It seems that a Access Point in a room where +/- 10 People with Third-Party SIP Devices are, doesn't acceppt any new Connections. If I walk in that room with a Third-Party SIP device, it doesn't connect to the Access Point in that room. Even not when I'am standing directly under it. That's a problem because the SIP Device makes a connection to a Access Point outisde that room with a bad RSSI Value.

Could it be that the Access Point (Cisco LAP1142N with WLC 5508) dont acceppt any more connections if more than 10 Devices are already connected?

How can I solve that Problem?

Thanks for your ideas,

Marc

It may be because of a couple of reasons (either or)

1. Client load balance (WLAN > advanced settings)

2. Call admission control (configured per radio -- Wireless > 892.1a/n > Media > voice > ACM
