Is it best practice to configure qos on the layer two switch port that the ap is connected to? Im hearing mixed reviews on this and was wondering what peoples thoughts were regarding this topic.
If so what commends are recommend on a 3750 switch port.
Thanks
Izzy

I believe it is best practice, as long as you have QoS configured properly. I always configure the wlc with the appropriate QoS with or without the wired side having QoS. Might as well have it there just in case. I usually trust dscp, but you need to understand QoS. Here is a good link that should help.

Scott's right, you should always configure it. You never know when someone is going to want to turn on voice services and throw a wrench into your deployment! I always configure the WLC and AP ports as well as setup the proper wlan profile -> qos mappings on the controller. The qos mappings require the networks to be disabled so it's wise to do this up front.
