USB wireless capture

Which device is good to capture wireless beacon frames.

AirPcap or Linksys WUSB600N ver 1, ver 2 (Dual-band USB adapter)

I want to check whether AP sending WME values or not.

Re: USB wireless capture

Your adapter selection will be driven by what software you select to sniff the traffic.

Both are good.

What software are you looking at ?

Omnipeek, airmagnet, wireshark ??

USB wireless capture

Will it shows WME, 802.11e parameters. 4 Qos Queues?

Re: USB wireless capture

From my own experience, I would go with the 600N and Omnipeek. It will show you the WMM and 802.11e QoS values.
