WGB vs. PCI cards throughput

Is it right that a 350 WGB has about half the throughput of a PCI card?

With a WGB 350 connected through a crossover cable to a PC wwe get about 600 kilobits

With the same PC with a 340 PCI (4.25.30 firmware 40 bits wep) card we get about 1.6 megabits

We have tried the settings in different areas and with different WGB (all 8.80 firmware and 40 bits wep) and we always got the same results.

The root access point is a 340 bridge (configured as access point) with 8.80 firmware and 40 bits wep.

Thanks,

Luigi

Re: WGB vs. PCI cards throughput

Luigi,

I would not expect to see the results you have seen there.

What firmware are you using on the WGB ?

The PC that you connected to did it have a fast ethernet port or a 10/100 or just a 10baseT Nic card ?

If it was the 10/100 type are you sure it has set to 10M half duplex ?

Was there any sign of CRC errors or hold offs on the WGB ?
