Wireless connections details

Folks,

On a Cisco 5508 controller how can I find out which clients are connected using "n" speeds only? I see logs that there are connection using "802.11b/n", but how does this help me?

Also on the new Wireless AP's i.e. the 3602 and the 3702 AP's. While these are n standards these are also backward conpatible with the a and b standards, correct?

regards,

Nik

Just to add...

What you will see on the WLC under protocol:

802.11b = 802.11b client

802.11g = 802.11g client

802.11bn = 802.11n client on the 2.4gh

802.11a = 802.11a

802.11an = 802.11n client on the 5gh

mobile = anchored client

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Nik,

1) show client summary will indicate if the client is associated in 802.11n ( 2.4 / 5 )

     802.11n(2.4 GHz) == b-n

     802.11n(5 GHz) == a-n

2) They are defenitely backward compatible with a,  g  and b standards.

All APs are backward compatible to 802.11a and 802.11b.
