Core Issue
There is a problem connecting to a resource on the far side of a bridge.
Resolution
Lack of connectivity means that traffic cannot pass from site to site. You can lose connectivity after a long period of successful operation, or at any time after the units are physically deployed. In either situation, the troubleshooting procedure is the same. To isolate the point at which connectivity is lost, use the ping utility from a command line in your computer's operating system to:
- Ping computers on (the PC or other host on the local wired LAN)
- Ping the local bridge at your site
- Ping the remote bridge at the far site . Refer Intermittent Connectivity Issues in Wireless Bridges for troubleshooting
- Ping the remote destination IP address . Check physical wired ports on wired segments and Vlan configuration.
For more information, refer to the Connectivity Failure section of Troubleshooting Common Problems with Wireless Bridged Networks document.
