Sometimes problems occur when an attempt is made to access the Cisco Access Point (AP) directly connected to the computer, from the computer itself. In this case, make sure the correct set of cables is used to connect to the AP. Then, try to access the AP from a different computer. If this trial is successful, a firewall may be blocking access on the other computer. For more information on basic connectivity issues, refer to the Basic Connectivity Issues section of Troubleshooting Connectivity in a Wireless LAN Network.
For more information on how to connect the AP with the computer, refer to the Prerequisites section of Troubleshooting Connectivity in a Wireless LAN Network.
Note: Some prerequisites must be met before this connection can be made.
