Did you mean:

Cannot ping network from repeater access point

Resolution

The problem may be with the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption. To address this issue, disable and reconfigure WEP. As an alternative, you may upgrade the firmware.

When a repeater Access Point cannot communitcate to a root AP, it pays to troubleshoot the problem as you would most other client-to-AP connectivity problems.

  • Ensure the devices are within radio range of each other, taking into account possible sources of interference or blockage.
  • Verify that the devices' SSIDs are properly configured - that they match.
  • Check the authentication configuration.
