Can you enable routing or Network Address Translation (NAT) on Cisco APs

 

Resolution

The Cisco Aironet AP is a Layer 2 device. Therefore, the routing and NAT features are not supported on the AP.

The Cisco Aironet Access Point (AP) is a wireless LAN (WLAN) transceiver that acts as the connection point between wireless and wired networks or as the center point of a standalone wireless network. In large installations, the roaming functionality provided by multiple APs enables wireless users to move freely throughout the facility while maintaining uninterrupted access to the network.

A. No, routing and NAT features are not supported on APs.
