Resolution

The following are possible reasons why a non-root bridge can lose association with its parent (or root) bridge:

  • Radio problems - Perform a carrier test to show if the channel in use is being interfered with. Resolve the antenna setup by referring to the RF Troubleshooting section of Troubleshooting BR350 Bridges.

  • Misconfiguration of the bridge - Verify that the configurations of the bridges match. In extreme cases, reset the bridge configuration to its default and reconfigure the bridge.

  • Firmware incompatibilities - To ensure IEEE draft standard compatibility, the root and non-root bridges should be running the same version of firmware.
