Support Forum Article for WLC 7500 & 8500 Scalability Issues
The WLC 7500 and 8500 may experience scalability issues. A fix is implemented via CSCum05650. On version -01 (VID-01) of the 7500 with more than 3000 APs and/or 32,000 clients, you might observe the following:
1. Reaper Watcher crashes
2. Watchdog panics
3. Unresponsive console/UI/Telnet/SSH
4. WLC stuck and unable to boot, resulting in Hard reboots.
