management interface non-routable network, serving clients public ip address

Hello,

We are utilizing Cisco aironet 1200 waps, currently the management interfaces are located on the public network, a big no no, we don't currently have Nat and aren't looking to enable nat for a while. I was trying to think of a way to put the management interface on the non-routable network (172.16.x.x) and still serve up public ip addresses (128.59.x.x) to the clients. The reasoning for this weird setup is, I don't handle the DHCP/DNS servers, and we don't want to go WLC. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Simple. You'll set up the switchports serving the APs as trunks, with the management/unrouted vlan as native, then map your SSID(s) to your 128.x vlan(s).

Config guide is here:
