Hi,
to use the nV feature with 2xASR9001, I will require 2 IRL of 10 Gbps.
I will be using the A9k-MPA-4x10GE (module to add 4x10GE ports). I would like to know if I would be able to use the ports of the module A9k-MPA-4x10GE to create the IRL? (They use XFP).
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
J

Hi Jordi,
Yes, you can use either the MPA ports or on-board ports for IRLs, or even both. The restrictions on optics is that of the LC/MPA you are using.
EOBC ports are the only ones with more restrictions.
See section 3.6 and addendum of https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-34114 for more details on the EOBC and 9001 limitations.
Thanks,
Sam
