Hi Expert,

I need to replace SPA card to resolve the error

%L2-PLIM_ASIC-4-HW_WARNING : plaspa instance 0: (plaspa port 2 jacket slot 0) RSI Spi Error was reported

The plaspa port 2 jacket slot 0 would be SPA slot 0 (0/0/0), correct?

If the power we get is too low, replacement won’t fix it either.

  1. Use a power meter to confirm the power level you receive.
  2. Find out the power budged for this cable. It should have been provided by your carrier.
  3. Verify with the carrier that is their Tx power level

Thank you. I will update the result once.

Hello Alexei,

The problem can be solved with you advised. Many thanks!!!

Can i monitor Tx/Rx power via SNMP? if yes, please let me know MIB to me? Thanks

That is not implemented on CRS.

Hello Alexei

What is plaspa port ? can you please give me an idea for it ?

thanks

sudhir

PLA stands for PLIM LINK ASIC. PLASPA used on the SIP card for CRS and it is the interface controller for the PLIM.

In the ingress direction it takes all the traffic coming from the different ports on the PLIM and places them into virtual queues.

In the egress direction it takes all the traffic from the EgressQ ASIC buffers it and then transmits it to the appropriate egress port.
