Hi All,
when I enable jumbo frame size between Cisco 6500E and ASR 9K, and I realized that under the interface on Cisco 6500E, the size only support 9216-9216 value. So if I want to match same value on ASR 9K side interface, I need to add 14 bytes Ethernet header length, that is 9216+14 = 9230, but ASR9K couldn't accept this value as out of range ( 64-9216).
So how should I setup jumbo frame size between them ? or did I misunderstand something here ?
Many thanks if someone could share your experience !
Eric

Hi Eric,
You can use 9216 on the 9K and 9202 on the 6500.
That is of course assuming plain Ethernet.
What code and RP type on the 6500?
6500 should support the setting of any MTU from 1500 to 9216.
Thanks,
Sam
