Redistribute OSPF E1 route to BGP vpnv4

Hi everyone,

I have OSPF as a CE to PE which is up and all looks good, my PE (ASR 9001) has a load of prefixs:

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:POP-01-PE1#sh ip route vrf A

I am then redistributing OSPF into BGP:

vrf A

  rd 57:1

  address-family ipv4 unicast

redistribute ospf 1 match internal external 1 metric 20

I can see all the intra area routes going into BGP but the E1 default isn't :

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:POP-01-PE1#sh bgp vpnv4 unicast

Status codes: s suppressed, d damped, h history, * valid, > best

              i - internal, r RIB-failure, S stale, N Nexthop-discard

Origin codes: i - IGP, e - EGP, ? - incomplete

Network            Next Hop            Metric LocPrf Weight Path

Route Distinguisher: 57:1 (default for vrf A)

Hi,

BGP does not allow the redistribution of the default route by default. You need to use the "default-information originate" to change the default behavior.

vrf A

  rd 57:1

  default-information originate

  address-family ipv4 unicast

redistribute ospf 1 match internal external 1 metric 20
