Dears,

kindly I need to know what is the difference between these two cards HWIC-2CE1T1-PRI & VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1:

1- where we can use each cards?

2- does the first card support voice?

3- what is the data PRI and what is the difference between it and T1/E1.

4- I know that the first card is higher price than the 2nd, so what does it has more features to make it more costly?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Mohammed Zaatreh

Thank you for your fast response, I think it's clear now, but I have another inquiry, when we say HWIC-2CE1T1-PRI does not support voice that mean we can't deploy a QoS on it? Thank you.

Mohammed Zaatreh

No, it means you can't terminate voice calls with it.

3)  ISDN is standards for simultaneous of digital transmission for (voice, video, data ). But normally the PRI and BRI is dedicated for data transmission.

     A T1 line consists of 23 B + 1 D channels (1.5 MB each channel with 64 KB) and E1 - 31B  + 1D Channel ( 2 MB) .

Each B-channel carries data, voice, and other services. The D-channel carries control and signaling information.
