There's a mobile version of our website.
The scenario is as follows. We have installed 20-25 WAP-4410N Accesspoints in the network. No security or static Ip address for WAP-4410N accesspoints were configured. Now we need to configure security for all the accesspoints. The issue is that we are unable to identify the IP address of all the accesspoints. Is there any tool to identify the IP address of the access points? I am unable to identify whether the snmp is enabled on WAP-4410N or not.
Mr./Mrs. bibinsherief; By default the ip address of the WAP4410N is 192.168.1.245, if the range of ip's in your network is not in the 192.168.1.x you must connect a computer directcly into the WAP with static IP within this range.
Thanks for the reply. The sixteen 4410N APs were connected to 4 POE switches. On each poe switch we identified the ports connected to 4410 APs.Change the IP address of laptop/PC to 192.168.1.2 /24 .Connected the PC to one of switches .Keeping one AP connected to the switch we disconnected the rest of the APs connected to the switch and was able to access the AP using the management IP 192.168.1.245.Did the same for the rest of the APs. So we managed to access all the APs and changed the config. It would be very hectic to go to the physical location of each AP and access it.
