I have catalyst blade switch 3020. It displays the following message a lot. I would like to know what this message means and what I should do against this. Could you give me any advice?
*******************************************
* CamMiss exception in port-asic 1
*******************************************
The port-asic 1 is used for port 5, 6, 13 and 14.
Switch 1, PortASIC 1 Registers
GlobalPortNumber : 00000005 00000006 0000000D 0000000E
There is "camMiss" in ExceptionIndexTable of port-asic.
switch1#show platform port-asic exception asic 1
NoDestIndex: 00000153
DropDestIndex: 00000154

The error message is printed when the TCAM lookup fails because of a fault with TCAM programming or hardware error with TCAM itself.
Can you please send me show version?
Also, have you tried to reload the device? How often are you getting these error messages? Do you have any connectivity issues?

I'm sorry my reply is late. And I appreciate your answer for my question.
I've already replaced the device, then this message seems to have disappeared. ( The message appeared every 1 minutes. ) So there might have been something wrong with TCAM as you mentioned.
Let me confirm one more my understanding. "camMiss" in ExceptionIndexTable of port-asic indicates just destination was dropped from the index (0154:DropDestIndex), right? (so TCAM lookup fails)
