CS-DESKPRO-K9++ USB Control

Can I use a RS232/serial to USB converter to control the Cisco CS-DESKPRO with Crestron control? The Cisco Deskpro doesnt come with an RS232/serial port. Controlling to Ethernet is not an option for the project i am working on.
