question about exams for CCNA

If you need to write the exams for the CCNA does it make a difference if you do the 200-120, over the doing both the 100-101 and 200-101 separately?

Hi Paul,

The end result is the same The "composite" 200-120 exam covers all the topics from ICND 1&2 so it may expedite the process but some people prefer learning the individual topics and taking the exams in two parts.

Either way works! Good luck with your studies & exams!

My reasons were:

Earning the CCENT requires passing only one test. Earning a cert by passing just one test will boost your confidence and get you ready for the longer certification paths such as the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
The CCENT is a stepping stone for the CCNA. Passing the single CCNA test can be very difficult – it’s much easier to take two smaller tests that you can more easily prepare for. By passing the CCENT test, you’re halfway on the road to earning your CCNA.

Hi Paul,

• Pass the single 200-120 CCNA exam (90 minutes, 50 – 60 questions)
• Pass two separate exams: the 100-101 ICND1 (90 minutes, 40 -50 questions) and the 200-101 ICND2 (75 minutes, 50 – 60 questions)

Most people find it easier to take two small steps (ICND1 & 2) rather than one big step (CCNA exam). But i guess it depends on experience.
