ACE documentation

Hello,

I wonder if anybody's has actually tried to follow the 'ACE getting started' guide, just to setup a VIP and 2 http servers. I really did follow the instructions, but many of the commands from the docs are not even accepted by the ACE.

Could somebody provide me with a working example of an ACE and 2 http servers.

I just checked the config guide @ http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00806853d2.html

and all the steps are correct except step #10.

Instead of

"loadbalance L7_VIP_LB_ORDER_POLICY"

you have to type

"loadbalance policy L7_VIP_LB_ORDER_POLICY"

The rest is correct.

Hey, I'm sorry, I forgot the put a default route to the ACE on my servers. It works now.

Still, there are a couple of things that didn't work in the guide :

toward the end of the page, when the complete configuration is displayed, I think the server farm is missing, and there are other commands that are not accepted.

Then I followed this :

It works better but there is also some problems :

in VIP With Connection Parameters Example

look for :

host1/Admin(config)# policy-map multi-match L4_SLB_POLICY

host1/Admin(config-pmap)# class VIP

the class vip doesn't exist;

I can not go through the docs and spot all the little problems but I think there are more.
