Hi
My LMS server reboots every 8 days with the following error in the event log : "system has experienced unexpected shutdown".
Minidump file involving afd.sys and sm_server.exe is generated (file attached)
Any idea of what could cause the problem ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Caroline

Hi,
I was having the same problem a while back...I'm running LMS 3.1 on a blade server with Windows 2003 SP2 installed.
What I did to resolve that is uninstall the virus (Trend) from the server and it seems to fix the issue hasn't rebooted unexpectedly in over 2 1/2 months.

What version of DFM do you have installed?
04-09-2009 09:59 AM
I'm running version 3.1.0

This was meant for the original poster. DFM 3.1 should not be affected by the bug which can cause this problem.

Got it....sorry.

Actually, I am running DFM 3.0.1
So the problem seems to be already known

Yes. You need to upgrade to LMS 3.0.1 then to DFM 3.0.4, and this problem will be fixed. LMS 3.0.1 can be downloaded from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/lms301 , and DFM 3.0.4 can then be downloaded from Common Services > Software Center > Software Update.

OK
Thank you
An upgrade to LMS 3.1 or 3.2 is already planned this year so I guess it will solve my problem ;-D
Could you tell me the ref of the bug please, just for my information ?
Thanks again
Caroline
