Public IP addresses

Hello everyone,

I do have a list with public Ip addresses that belong to the company I am working for. Unfortunately, that excel sheet where it supposed to have each ip belongs to who is NOT registered !  And therefore i am willing to validate each ip addresses if it is reserved by someone or it is free .. And frankly I do not know how to check that professionally.

i need your help to assist me on how to validate the ip addresses. If they are in use or not and belongs to who as well

thank you

Each regional Internet

Each regional Internet Registry (RIR) has a whois page that allows you to enter an IP address (or subnet) and receive confirmation of the registered address assignee.

ARIN (North America) - http://whois.arin.net/ui

RIPE (Europe, Middle East, parts of Asia) - https://apps.db.ripe.net/search/query.html

APNIC (Asia Pacific) - http://wq.apnic.net/apnic-bin/whois.pl

...etc. for AFRNIC and LACNIC.

Here's a link to a list of country codes and associated registries:

...and a map:
