SNMP with Cisco 3750

Hi

I want to get back the mac adresses seen in each port of the Catalyst3750 switch with the SNMP protocol.

I tried this method http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_tech_note09186a00801c9199.shtml

but it didn't work unfortunately.

So, i'm looking for the OIDs (and MIBs) which enable me to get back the mac adresses seen in each port of the switch...

If you have any information about it, thank you by advance for your help!

(and sorry for my poor English, I'm a french guy)

I browsed down the tree on one of my 3750's using the instructions in the tech note you referenced. Mine reports back the MAC address info as expected. For instance, 1.3.1.2.1.17.4.3.1.1.0.18.1.123.206.130 reports back a MAC address value that is the same as one (of the many) I get from a "sh mac-address-table" command from the switch.

How are you MIB browsing? I used Solarwinds' MIB Browser.

Hi,

I used a freeware of Ireasoning (http://www.ireasoning.com/)

I think I have a clue : I read somewhere that for the Bridge-MIB, one SNMP request concerns only one Vlan. So if I specify public@1 for example, I will get back information only about the Vlan1 (in the case the read community is Public). If I try public@2, I will get back other mac adresses seen on ports belonging to Vlan2.

If I go through all Vlans of the switch, I would maybe get back all mac adresses seen on each ports...

If you have other idea, I will be thankful for your help!
