EIGRP over DDR

Does anyone know how to tune eigrp for DDR. I can't find any info on how to make it hang up for a while. One of my books says to use snapshot routing but I could not get it working and the cisco doc does not have it in the list of protocols that can use snapshot.

Snapshot is only supported for distance vector routing protocols, such as RP and IGRP for IP traffic. The link on CCO talks about configuring EIGPR and floating static with DDR.
