If you are using MESH APs then yes it works. If you are using 1300 or 1400 series you must put the root in the middle and use point to multipoint mode or root to end point to switch to second root to endpoint. I would simply put the AP in the middle into root mode and do a root to multipoint.

non-root bridge in the middle is connected to ethernet switch (wired)
