3650 Stack Upgrade Questions

Hi,

I just prepped a 3650 stack and completed the upgrade procedures. My question is when I reviewed the flash after the install it shows the new pkg files for the image cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.07.SPA.bin for the date on the install. But the packages.conf file shows a older date then the pkg files. Is this because I haven't reloaded the device yet? I repeated the upgrade and the results are the same. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

This is a known "feature" with IOS-XE. During the unpacking stage, there would have been an error message (WARNING) that the packages.conf file could not be overwritten.

The fix is very simple:

rename flash:packages.conf flash:packages.conf.00-
rename flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.07.SPA.conf flash:packages.conf.00-
