Installing an SFP 1000Base-T into a 3750?

Hi,

I have just recieved a SPF to install into my C3750 switch to provide me with a gigabit trunk to a C2960.

DO I just push the SPF in and that is it? The switch is on and live, so I'm not sure if I have to down this switch first?

Hello,

SFP's are hot-swoppable - so you can insert or remove them while the switch is on.

All you need to do is push it in and plug the ethernet cable.
