WLAN 802.11a & 802.11g questions

Hi,

I would appreciate if you could reply to my following WLAN questions:

1. Can we use 802.11a and 802.11b simultaneously in any single AP

2. For one of my customers I would like to propose 1200 AP with simultaneous 802.11g + 802.11a support.

I believe the options I have is AIR-AP1231G-E-K9 + AIR-RM20A-A-K9; my question is if this is a supported config for Pakistan (which falls under ETSI region).

3. In the GPL, I could not find the ETSI version for 802.11a

4. As a general rule, can we sell the FCC version ( - A - ) of the Aironet products when the ETSI ( - E - ) is not available

5. Does the WLSE support 802.11g networks

6. Does the 7920 work with 802.11a or 802.11g

Thanks,

Ahmer Ghazi

1. You can use .11a and .11b simultaneouly in a AP1200 model.

5. the current version of WLSE doest not support the g module ( but cisco might release the software upgradeto support soon)

6.7920s have a .11b radios in them and it works with .11g units.
