Hi Guys...
Is there any way to strip a 3 digit access code off the Calling party number when the rest of number may vary?
i.e. YYYXXXXX where YYY is the site code and XXXXX is the extension number
Or YYYNNNNNNNNN again Y site code - N is a PSTN number..
Any ideas?
I know it can be done easy with H323.. but is it possible in MGCP? I'm thinking not?
Cheers,
Tim.

Tim,
Yes, this can be done. Create a route pattern of "YYY.NNNNNNNNNN". Set Discard Digits to PreDot either at the Route Pattern or Route List.
Hope this helps.

Hi Brandon..
I probably didnt put enough info in the first post..
It is for inbound calls to callmanager from an MGCP gateway..
And it is the calling party not the called party I am trying to modify...
Cheers,
Tim.

Tim,
Sorry, I should have paid more attention and noticed that you said calling party. I don't think this is possible with MGCP.
