Hello

Prime Infrastructure upgrade license we plan to purchase, my question was the PI hardware comes preloaded with Prime software or it needs to be downloaded and installed on the hardware appliance. Do we need to purchase VMware or it comes preloaded on the Prime hardware.

Are there different hardware for LMS and Prime v2.0

Hi,

If you have ordered the Hardware Appliance ,it comes with the OS(linux). then you either need to run the cd\dvd for PI software which you have got along with the box.

if not then  you can download the .ISO image from cisco.com then burn it on the DVD and run the DVD.

other way to installed PI is to  installed VMware then you need to download the .OVA images from cisco.com and then deploy the ova to your VM.
