Hi,
I've done a new Cisco Prime 2.0 (single virtual server) installation and saw there were twoupdates to install:
- December Update with bugfixes: pi_update_2.0-3.ubf
- Device package Update: pi_dev_pack_update_2.0-10.ubf
So I uploaded these through the GUI (Administration > Software Update)
as stated in README_for_PI_2_0_UBF_Patch.rtf
I uploaded and installed them. Both came back with Pending Restart 'Yes' and Installed 'Yes'.
So I restarted the system with a ncs stop and start and even tried a reload. And still both stay on 'Yes'.
As per the documentation, after a restart it should be Pending Restart 'No' and Installed 'Yes'.
Also, when I do a show version from CLI it states:
Cisco Prime Infrastructure
------------------------------------------
Version : 2.0.0.0.294
Any ideas?

Glad you got it figured out. I guess the lesson is completely apply one update or patch before starting on a second - at least for now.
BTW, my updated installation shows the same version as yours from the cli:
prime/admin# show ver

ADE-OS Build Version: 2.0.6.003-px-build
ADE-OS System Architecture: x86_64

I just applied the device pack update on my system and did the manual restart. It worked as advertised - i now see it installed and no restart pending. (I had successfully installed the patch update earlier.)
I also verified I am now able to better manage an ASA 5525X. Still not perfect - but better.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
What I did was installing both in a row, and then restarted the system having both on Restart Pending. Maybe it didn't work out this way, because you have to install them one by one and then restart after each.
Can you share the show version of your system now you installed the update?
Because they're on Restart Pending I'm not able to uninstall or reinstall. So I guess I'm stuck.
Is there anything I can do from the CLI admin mode?

I finally managed to have this issue fixed.
It took some time (ncs stop and start take a long time) but I went to the Root Shell on the CLI and found the location of the updates (.ubf files):
/opt/CSCOlumos/updates
I've tried some things but eventually just deleted the whole 'updates' directory.
ade # pwd
/opt/CSCOlumos
ade # rm -r updates
ade # exit
After that I restarted PI with a ncs start and ncs stop, and the updates I installed earlier without luck were gone.
Then I only uploaded the 1st update and installed it, and restarted PI again.
Then 'Restart Pending' came back with No while 'Installed' was still a yes.
After that I installed the 2nd update and also that one went as it should.
I did a show version but it was still the same.
