Do I need to use Proxy Server if I am already using PIX-515-R-BUN

HI,

I am about to implement PIX-515-R-BUN on my network however I am also considring to implement a proxy server such as ( Winproxy or MSProxy ). Our total users for webbrowsing is 40.

My main objective to implement proxy server is to

1. To speedup the browsing for users with the use of minimum bandwith ( that could be achived with Casha facility).

2. To control webbrowsing access on the basis of NT User accounts / authentication.

1. Cisco firewalls don' t have cache option. you can use cisco cache engines or any proxy

2. If you want NT authentication and URL filtering you must use Websense for PIX. Cisco PIX supports only TACACS+ and RADIUS authentication. Also you can use Cisco ACS server for authenticaton authorization and accounting

You can connect the proxy Server on the internal network with just one adapter card. The only point you have to consider is that the Internla PCs will not be able of consult external mail trought the Proxy.
